Deep Down is a 1-hour documentary about mountaintop removal mining in Eastern Kentucky. In it, we follow one community as a coal mining company comes to town hoping to create a mine nearby, asking the question, "in a resource economy, who has the power?" The film received ITVS LINCS funding in partnership with KET. Co-Directed by Jen Gilomen & Sally Rubin, Executive Produced by David Sutherland (Country Boys, A Farmer's Wife).
