The film mixes haunting Super8 footage with documentary photography and anecdotes from Dan Nicoletta, who worked as a teenager at Castro Camera with Milk before the assassinations of Milk and Moscone in November, 1978. While Milk fought for tenants' rights, his landlord quadrupled his rent, forcing Castro Camera to close one week before Milk's death. The film is a tribute to Milk, the neighborhood in which he lived and workd, and the documentary photographers who captured the movement he inspired.
